Accommodations

Prices listed below are guaranteed only if rooms are reserved via the Conference Registration Website. Breakfast, lunch, and dinners are included in meeting registration costs.

Changes: All accommodation changes must be made through Conference Services (arabidopsis@union.wisc.edu). Do not call the individual hotels.

Cancellations:  All reservation cancellations must be communicated in writing to Conference Services, (arabidopsis@union.wisc.edu) no later than Friday, May 26 or participant will be charged the full amount.

University Housing
Witte Hall   615 W. Johnson Street   Madison, WI 53706

Witte Hall is two blocks from the Wisconsin Union. Room assignments, including phone numbers, will be provided in confirmation letters (from University Housing) prior to the conference. The accommodations offer a limited number of single occupancy rooms with a majority reserved for double occupancy. All rooms have single/twin beds. Shared bathrooms are located down the hall and include private shower stalls. Private in-room bathrooms are not available. Floors are divided by gender, so please keep this in mind when choosing a roommate. Parking is not included. If you are staying in University residence halls and driving to campus, please order your parking permit to arrange for nearby parking when you register for the conference.

Included with every room are the following services/facilities/amenities: Individual air-conditioning unit, bed linens, towels, a small refrigerator, telephone with free access for local calls, in-room ethernet connections for computer hook-up, and cable television connection. Alarm clocks, phone cards, irons, and ironing boards are available at the 24-hour front desk upon request. Televisions are located in the shared lounge areas within the hall.

Best Western Inn Towner

The Best Western Inn Towner is located on the western edge of the UW campus, in downtown Madison. It is approximately 2 miles away from the Memorial Union. The hotel houses 176 non-smoking guest rooms and suites, each including private bathrooms. Complimentary shuttle service is offered to and from the airport as well as to and from the meeting site. Complimentary on-site parking is also included.

University Inn

The University Inn is located in the heart of State Street. Each room contains a private bathroom and cable TV. Most single rooms come with a king sized bed, and most double rooms have queen sized beds. Over the span of the past two years, facilities have been renovated in step-wise fashion. At present, all rooms contain new carpeting, wallpaper, heating and air conditioning units, curtains, and bedding. All rooms include complimentary high speed internet access.

Included with every room are the following services/facilities/amenities: complementary continental breakfast, free parking, small refrigerators are available upon request for guests staying with us over extended periods of time, hair dryers and irons which are available anytime needed at the front desk. Also available are toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, and other personal items, offered at no additional charge.

Best Western Inn on the Park

The Dahlmann Campus Inn

The Dahlmann Campus Inn is located on the University of Wisconsin campus in the heart of downtown Madison (2 blocks from the meeting site). This newly renovated boutique style inn is centrally located to both the Memorial Union and State Street (Madison’s thriving shopping and restaurant district). Rooms are beautifully decorated and feature either one king or two double beds and a private bath, complete with tub and shower. Complimentary on-site parking is included.

Included with every room are the following services/facilities/amenities: continental breakfast, in-room safes, DVD players, non-smoking rooms, clothing steamers, hair dryers, cable television, DSL or dual phone lines, cocktail lounge and a fitness center.

The Madison Concourse Hotel

The Concourse is located 8 blocks from the meeting site and close to State Street shops and restaurants. All rooms have queen size beds and private bathrooms. A complimentary shuttle is offered to and from the airport as well as the meeting site. Parking for conference participants is available at $7/day, to be paid at the hotel.
