Orozco

José Clemente Orozco (1883-1949)
Mexican Pueblo,
lithograph

Mexican muralist, printmaker and painter, Orozco’s best-known work in the United States is the series of murals done for the Baker Library on the campus of Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire (1932-34). Widely reproduced, the murals depict a panorama of the history and mysticism of the Americas. Like his murals, Orozco’s paintings and lithographs were extremely influential in the United States.
