Wisconsin Basecamp is the University of Wisconsin-Madisonís outdoor orientation program for new incoming students. Basecamp offers a variety of trips for students the summer before they start at UW-Madison.

     Canoeing the Wisconsin River

     Backpacking the Porcupine Mountains

     Sea Kayaking the Apostle Islands,

     Building The Ice Age Trail & Exploring Devils Lake State Park

Through Wisconsin Basecamp, new students will learn the skills necessary to complete their and share a wilderness experience of a lifetime. Additionally, students also gain self-confidence and build relationships that will ensure a great start at UW-Madison. Basecamp offers opportunity for continuing engagement through a reunion dinner, community service projects and additional leadership development opportunities.
