About Wisconsin Bowling

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Bowling Team, supported by the Wisconsin Union, represents UW-Madison in conference and national intercollegiate bowling competitions.

2011-2012 UW-Madison Bowling Team

The team competes as a member of the Wisconsin Collegiate Bowling Conference (WCBC). The conference is composed of both men’s and women’s teams from 13 different universities. Four conference tournaments are held each year—the team typically attends an additional 3-5 regional and/or national tournaments. In the last six years, the men’s team has placed first in the conference for four years and second one year.  Both the UW Bowling team and WCBC are sanctioned by USBC-Collegiate.

The team meets every Monday night at 9:00pm for league bowling at Union South. For those who wish to compete on the traveling team, this league determines who travels to tournaments and conference meets.

Join the Team

All full-time UW-Madison students are welcome to join the team. To be eligible, you must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credits for undergrads, 6 credits for grad students) and you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.

If you are interested in social bowling with the team, any UW-Madison student, staff, faculty member or Wisconsin Union Member can bowl on the league. The UW Bowling Team bowls competitively and socially and is always looking for new members.
