Bar Information

There are several options for bar service through Wisconsin Union Catering.
  1. Full hosted bar, all evening or before dinner. This includes cocktails, beer, wine, and soda* complimentary to the guests.
  2. Cash bar with complimentary beer, wine and soda*.
  3. Cash bar with complimentary beer and soda*.
  4. Cash bar with complimentary soda*.
*Whenever serving alcoholic beverages it is necessary to provide a non-alcoholic option. For weddings we charge $1.25 per person for complimentary soda and juice all evening.

All of our cocktails are made using premium liquors.

In addition to the above bar options, we offer wine and/or champagne toasts with dinner.

If we are unable to obtain that special vintage wine that your are looking for to complement your event, The Wisconsin Union would be happy to provide corkage and wine service for your event with the addition of a per bottle charge. You will be charged a corkage fee of $15/ bottle for 750ml or $25/bottle for 1.5L.

The standard 750ml wine bottle will pour 5 glasses. One champagne bottle will pour 6 glasses.

Last call for the bar will be 1/2 hour before the end of the event (generally 11:30pm for an event end time of midnight for evening receptions).

Beer is offered by the 1/4 or 1/2 barrel. We can special order beer for you if you would like a type of beer that is not listed in our menu. A 1/4 barrel serves 60- 16oz servings. A 1/2 barrel serves 120- 16oz servings. Your catering representative can help you estimate how many barrels you will need for your event.
