Decorations

Decorations, Florals & Linens

You will be able to set up decorations on the day of the event.  You will have access to your reserved space at noon on the day of the event.  It may be possible to gain early entry to the room before noon.  Please make arrangements with the catering department for the time you will be setting up.

Taping, stapling, or attaching items to walls or woodwork is NOT permitted. Any set up and clean up of all table or room decorations is your responsibility.  Any decorations that you wish to keep must be removed from your reception site the day of your event.  (A service fee for cleanup may be charged should you not remove items immediately following your reception.)

The Wisconsin Union is happy to provide table numbers and stands when requested.  All place cards, menu cards, table decorations, and gift card boxes are your responsibility to provide.  If you will be having multiple meal options, please provide place cards that indicate the entrée choice for each guest.

The Wisconsin Union will provide a cut glass oil lamp for the center of each table if desired.  We also have available, for rental, mirror tiles and hurricane glass covers.* You are welcome to bring in your own candles and lamps.  Candles are permissible if the flame is enclosed in a nonflammable container.  The flame must be below the top of the container.  Suitable examples would be glass votive holders or hurricanes.  The catering staff will light candles in the room before guests arrive if requested. 

Please coordinate your bakery delivery and floral delivery for cake decoration as needed.

All tables will be clothed with white linens.  Round tables will be double clothed with 85” and 71” linens.  White linen napkins will be provided.  Additional accent colors for napkins are available. (Please inquire if interested.) The head table, cake table, registration table, DJ/band tables, bar tables, hors d’oeuvres tables, and gift table will be clothed and skirted skirted in your choice of ivory, black or burgundy skirts.  You are welcome to bring in rental linens if you prefer.*  It is your responsibility to coordinate delivery the day before the reception and to pick up the linens the day following your reception.
