Equipment Availability and Rental

The Wisconsin Union has several items available for use during wedding receptions. Please contact your Catering Representative to add any of the equipment/ rental items to your reservation.

Catering and Decorative Items Rental Rate
12" square mirror tiles $2.50 each
12" glass hurricane covers $2.50 each
12" square mirror tiles and hurricane covers (set) $4.50 each set
Bar glassware rental (for cocktails and wine) $2.75 per guest
Bar glassware rental (for beer)

Oil lamp candles complimentary
Table numbers and metal table stands complimentary


Catering Service Fees Rental Rate
Butler passing (for beverages or hors d'oeuvres) $10.95/hour per server
Chair setup for rental chairs* (not in conjunction with ceremonies) $1.00/chair
Chair cover setup and removal for rented covers**ˆ $2.00 per chair cover

*Rental chairs must be delivered to the event room between 8 and 10am on the day of the reception.  Rental chairs must be picked up by the rental company by 10am the following day (even if it falls on a weekend day).  If chairs are not delivered directly to the event room by the delivery company, additionally fees may be charged by the Wisconsin Union to move chairs up to the event room.

* *Chair covers with bows or ties need to be pre-tied before the Union staff will set them up.  Please note that standard rental chair covers do not fit on the blue chairs in Great Hall.

ˆ Rental linens can be brought to The Wisconsin Union the day prior to the event (linens may not be delivered directly to The Wisconsin Union). All rental linens must be removed from the premises at the end of the event. The Wisconsin Union is not responsible for lost or damaged linens and will not ship linens back to rental companies.
