Come Create with Us!
Started in 1930 from a suggestion/proposal of a student, the Craftshop has been in its current location on the 4th floor of Memorial Union since 1939. It was the first open arts studio in a union ever!

Tools and equipment must be checked out with a valid photo ID. The person checking out equipment is responsible for that equipment. The cost to fix or replace equipment lost or damaged through misuse will be charged to the person responsible.
IDs will be given back upon return of undamaged tools and equipment.
No tools or equipment can leave the Craftshop.
Clean Up
Craftshop users are expected to clean up after themselves after each use. Put equipment away in its proper place. Clean all work surfaces—including the floor.
Permits may be revoked if proper clean up is not done.
Project and Materials Storage
Only current Craftshop permit holders may store materials or projects in the Craftshop. All wood materials and projects must have completed storage tags attached.
All storage areas are cleaned out at the end of each semester. Materials and projects may be stored between semesters for a $5 fee.
