Transportation Information
Complimentary Shuttle Service
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided on Tuesday, July 13 from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm and Sunday, July 18 from 6:30 am – 11:30 am. The shuttle will run in continuous 30 minute loops stopping at the Dane County Regional Airport, all lodging facilities and the Meeting Site. Please look for the large Badger Bus coach with a “Conference Services” sign in the window.

Please note: Any participant not arriving on July 13 or departing on July 18 will need to arrange for their own transportation. Please see below for alternative transportation.
By Plane
To get to Madison, Wisconsin, you can fly into any of the three cities listed below. You will need to continue via bus or taxi to get to the meeting site from all three cities.
Madison: The Dane County Regional Airport is located 4 miles northeast of downtown Madison. You can continue to the meeting site via taxi, which will cost approximately $12.00. Please visit www.msnairport.com for more information.
Milwaukee: The General Mitchell International Airport (www.mitchellairport.com) is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, approximately 75 miles east of Madison. You may continue to Madison via car or bus. Please see below for more information on car and bus travel.
Chicago: Chicago, Illinois is located 150 southeast of Madison and has two international airports: Midway International Airport and O’Hare International Airport. Both airports can be found by visiting www.ohare.com – passengers can continue via to Madison via car or bus; please see below for additional information on both options.
By Bus
Milwaukee: The Badger Coach Bus Line runs 6 trips daily from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport directly to the Madison Meeting Site for $20 one way. Travel time is approximately 2 hours. Please call 608-276-7490 for more information or visit www.badgerbus.com.
Chicago: The Van Galder Bus Company runs several times daily from both O’Hare and Midway Airports, directly to the Madison Meeting Site. The one-way fare is currently $26-$28 and travel time is approximately 3.5 hours. Please call 800-747-0994 for more information or visit www.vangalderbus.com.
Greyhound bus lines also run to Madison. Please call 800-231-2222 for fare and schedule information, or visit www.greyhound.com. Taxis are available at the bus terminal, which is approximately 0.5 miles from the Union.
By Car
Madison lies approximately 150 miles northwest of Chicago (3 hour drive), 75 miles west of Milwaukee (1.5 hour drive) and 270 miles southeast of Minneapolis (4 hour drive). For driving directions, try Yahoo! Maps.
Parking: Parking in Madison is very limited. As a courtesy to conference participants, a limited number of campus parking permits will be available for purchase. If you would like a permit, please reserve your ticket on the conference registration page, when registering for the conference. Permits that have been requested and paid for will be distributed at conference check-in. There will be no refunds for unused parking permits.
In addition, there are several parking ramps near the meeting site; the nearest one is on the corner of State and Lake Streets. Rates may vary; please see this website for more details: www.ci.madison.wi.us/parking/rampRates.html

Individuals arriving/departing outside the complimentary shuttle hours will need to arrange for their own transportation to/from the Dane County Airport in Madison. Below is a listing of taxi cab companies in Madison. Participants must pay this expense.
