Hoofers
The UW-Madison Hoofers outdoor recreation program is one of the oldest and largest organizations on campus.
Officially starting in 1931, Hoofers has grown to five collegiate teams, six clubs and hundreds of members. Clubs and teams exist for outdoor activities such as mountaineering, hiking, camping, riding, scuba, sailing and ski and snowboarding.
The organization also offers youth riding and sailing programs and hosts various campus events throughout the year.
