By Car
Madison lies about 150 miles northwest of Chicago (approximately 2.5 hour drive), 75 miles west of Milwaukee (approximately 1.5 hour drive) and 270 miles southeast of Minneapolis (approximately 5 hour drive). For driving directions, try Yahoo! Maps.
Parking in Madison is very limited. There are several parking garages downtown, the nearest one to the Memorial Union being on Lake Street. As a courtesy to conference participants, a limited number of campus parking permits will be available for purchase. Please be sure to register and pay for the permits on the conference registration page. Permits that have been requested and paid for will be distributed at conference registration. There will be no refunds for unused parking permits.
By Plane
The Dane County Regional Airport is located 4 miles northeast of downtown Madison. A taxi to the Memorial Union is approximately $12.00. Airlines serving Madison include: American, Delta, Continental, Midwest, Northwest, and United.

You may also fly into Milwaukee’s General Mitchell Airport or Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and continue to Madison via bus.

By Bus
From Chicago: The Van Galder bus line runs 14 times daily between Chicago O’Hare Airport and the Memorial Union. The one-way fare is currently $24.00 and travel time is approximately 3 hours. Please call (800) 747-0994 for fare and schedule information or visit http://www.vangalderbus.com.
From Milwaukee: The Badger Coach bus line runs 6 trips daily from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell Airport directly to the Memorial Union for $19.00 one way or $32.00 round trip. Greyhound bus lines also run to Madison. Please call (800) 231-2222 for fare and schedule information, or visit http://www.greyhound.com. Taxis are available at the bus terminal, which is approximately 0.5 miles from the Union.
