Whether graduating student, alumnus, retiree or just a lover of the Union—membership is open to everyone.

Lifetime

New Graduate $55

Available to UW-Madison students within one year of graduation.  Join now.

UW Retirees $55

Available to UW-Madison staff within one year of retirement.  Join now.

Recent Graduate $150

Available to UW-Madison alumni who graduated in the last five years.  Join now.

Community $250

Available to the general public (over 18 years of age) or alumni after five years. This is a special single-life payment price. Regular rate is $300 if paid in installments.

Annual

Community $50

Available to the general public (over 18 years of age) or alumni after five years. All annual payments accrue towards a lifetime Union membership. Once a member reaches $300 in annual payments, they automatically become a lifetime member.  Join now.

Q. Where do my membership fees go?#

A. Membership dollars contribute to the Wisconsin Union—a completely self-supported non-profit that operates without any tax dollars. Membership helps sustain the Wisconsin Union and ensures the programs and services that everyone loves will be here for years to come. 

Q. Can I give a Union membership as a gift?

A. Yes. Anyone can purchase a gift membership at the rate the recipient is eligible for.

Q. Are UW-Madison faculty, staff or guest students considered members?

A. They are welcome to use the Union as associates of the university and enjoy SOME Union privileges. To receive full benefits, you must purchase a Union membership.
