Mini Courses and American Collegiate Adventures

Since the summer of 1996 Wisconsin Union Mini Courses has cooperated with American Collegiate Adventures (ACA) in providing a college-based summer enrichment program for high school students. Mini Courses provides the classroom portions of a broad-based experience designed and presented by ACA.

American Collegiate Adventures is a private company offering high school students a pre-college summer enrichment program. Participants engage in college-type courses, community service, recreation and weekend travel experiences that include college visits, cultural experiences and unique recreational opportunities. Besides the UW-Madison campus ACA offers programs in Seville (Spain), Forence (Italy), the D.C./Philadelphia/Boston area and in Costa Rica/Panama.

For the Madison program participants enroll for two to six weeks. They participate in one morning and one afternoon college-type course. These courses are provided by the Mini Course program and meet in campus facilities. All other aspects of the program are coordinated by ACA.
