We're Booked, Now What?
From the time we agree on an artist fee until the moment you arrive for your show a variety of things happen. Here's an outline of what to expect, as well as what the committee expects from you.
- Completely fill out your contract. After the contract has been faxed or sent to you, sign/ fill out any place where there is an "x." Don't forget to specify who the check will be made out to (if payment is involved) and their social security/tax ID number. Also, don't forget to sign the additional conditions and sound addendum forms.
- Send/fax a stage plot. Things will run much more smoothly the night of the show if the sound company knows what to set up for. Get us your stage plot, and we'll get it to the sound company.
- Send back your contract on time. If we don't receive your completed contract two weeks before the date of the show, we'll have to mail you your check. Sometimes this isn't an option- don't worry, though, your check will come in the mail.
- Don't be picky. It says right on our contract that "no food, drink, or other gratuities will be provided." We don't normally provide hotels, food, and the like, but you're playing a great venue and get a fat check at the end of the night (maybe).
- Keep in contact with your rep. They will keep you informed of any changes that may occur, and we ask you to do the same.
- You will be contacted by a committee member within a week prior to your performance. This member (generally your rep) will be your contact with questions and issues just prior to the show. They will let you know when and where to meet them, make sure that you are provided with water and a dressing room (if requested), and will be paying you at the end of the evening. If you had special requests which were miraculously granted by the committee, remind the person so they can be sure that everything is in order. If you have other questions now is the perfect time to ask them.
- Be on time. We generally allow for plenty of time before the show, but being on time is important. For our normal 9:30 shows, you are expected to be there at 7pm. Headliners sound check first, then opening acts. If you are running late, let your show contact know.
- Be courteous. The show is finally here, so just have fun.
