Complimentary Shuttle Service
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The shuttle will run in continuous 20 minute loops stopping at the Dane County Regional Airport, all lodging facilities and the Memorial Union. Please look for the large Badger Bus coach with and “Conference Services” sign in the window.
Please note: Any participant not arriving on Tuesday, May 29th or departing on Sunday, June 3rd will need to arrange for their own transportation. Please see below for alternative transportation.
By Plane
The Dane County Regional Airport is located 4 miles northeast of downtown Madison. A taxi to the Memorial Union is approximately $12.00. Please visit www.co.dane.wi.us/airport for more information.
You may also fly into Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport (www.mitchellairport.com) or Chicago’s O’Hare or Midway Airports (www.ohare.com) and continue to Madison via bus.
By Bus
From Chicago: The Van Galder bus line runs several times daily from both O’Hare and Midway Airports. The one-way fare is currently $24.00-$26.00 and travel time is approximately 3 hours. Please call (800) 747-0994 for fare and schedule information or visit www.vangalderbus.com.
From Milwaukee: The Badger Coach bus line runs 6 trips daily from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport directly to the Memorial Union for $19.00 one way or $32.00 round trip. Greyhound bus lines also run to Madison. Please call (800) 231-2222 for fare and schedule information, or visit www.greyhound.com. Taxis are available at the bus terminal, which is approximately 0.5 miles from the Union
By Car
Madison lies about 150 miles northwest of Chicago (approximately 2.5 hour drive), 75 miles west of Milwaukee (approximately 1.5 hour drive) and 270 miles southeast of Minneapolis (approximately 5 hour drive). For driving directions, try Yahoo! Maps.
Parking in Madison is very limited. There are several parking garages downtown, the nearest one to the Memorial Union being on Lake Street. As a courtesy to conference participants, a limited number of campus parking permits will be available for purchase. If you would like a permit, please be sure to select and pay for one on the registration page. Permits that have been requested and paid for will be distributed at conference registration. There will be no refunds for unused parking permits.
