The 14th annual meeting of the RNA Society will take place on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, WI from May 26th - 31th, 2009. The meeting is open to anyone whose work contributes to an understanding of RNA and how this interesting biopolymer functions. The RNA Society is a multidisciplinary organization, and its members study all aspects of the structure, function and evolution of RNA and ribonucleoprotein assemblies. The research presented at this meeting will include a wide range of disciplines from molecular medicine and RNA therapeutics, to molecular, cellular, developmental and evolutionary biology, structural biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and genetics and much, much, more.
This year the meeting will open on Tuesday evening (May 26th) with presentations by our two Keynote Speakers:
Dr. Shiv Grewal (National Cancer Institute, NIH)
(Title Coming Shortly)
and
Dr. Robert Darnell (Rockefeller University)
“Genome-wide RNA-Protein Maps”
All other sessions and workshops will begin with an overview of the session topic, followed by short oral presentations selected from the submitted abstracts by the Organizing Committee and the Session Coordinators. Abstracts that are not selected for oral presentations will be presented as posters. As in past years, we will also have several mentoring sessions and networking opportunities targeted towards the graduate students and post-doctoral associates attending the meeting.
The deadline for submission of abstracts and registration is
Monday, February 23, 2009.
We look forward to seeing you in Madison.
