"Broadening Participation in TeraGrid”
Student Contests
In addition to paper presentations, tutorials, and demonstrations, the second annual TeraGrid Conference, TeraGrid '07: Broadening Participation in TeraGrid, also will include THREE COMPETITIONS FOR STUDENTS.
- The Impact of Cyberinfrastructure on Your World.
High school and undergraduate students are invited to showcase their talents and creativity to convey how cyberinfrastructure will impact the world. Entries are due April 13, 2007.
- TeraGrid Student Research Competition.
Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit posters describing the applications and benefits of grid computing in their research endeavors. Poster abstracts must be submitted by April 13, 2007.
- TeraGrid: Advancing Scientific Discovery Competition.
This on-site event will address scientific discovery and problem solving. Sponsored student teams will be given eight to 12 problems from various scientific domains and will be expected to solve these problems within 24 hours. Team must register to participate by May 4, 2007.
Application forms for student competitions are available at http://teragrid.org/tg07/submissions/students/author/submit.php. Decisions will be announced by May 4, 2007.
