The Service Travel Symposium
A Celebration Showcasing UW Community Service Across the Globe
Each year the Alternative Breaks Committee hosts an exciting event: the Service Travel Symposium. The Symposium is a comming together of all the different groups from the UW whose activities include both a travel and community service component. Participating organizations in the past have included: AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, Morgridge Center, the Crossing, Learning Enterprises, Hillel, International Internship Program, MEDLIFE, the Pres House, CALS Service Learning, AIESEC, Engineers Without Borders, Chadbourne Global, Habitat UW, Global Health Certificate, MDGAP and Students Today Leaders Forever.
Interested in next year's event? The Committee is always looking for collaborating groups on campus to participate in this event. We are looking for groups to provide a display demonstrating their work as well as members who will be able to answer questions from students and the public at the event. There is also be an opportunity for interested groups to present to the entire audience at the event. Please fill out the following form to indicate your interest. You will then be contacted by an Alternative Breaks representative to arrange a meeting to further discuss your participation.
