"Terra Obscura" fetishizes certain quirks of spatial mapping through prints and painted work. The series opens with excerpts from an interpretive index of the colors of maps. It then investigates the geography of civil annihilation and the impotence of the map as a means to possess the world over geological time.

Every Day Form, Form Every Day is an exhibition consisting of sculptural pieces by Gabe Strader-Brown. Strader-Brown¿s work pertains to common utilitarian objects or everyday components of industrial design. These objects are familiar and prevalent, yet are so acculturated in our lives, they go unnoticed. This exhibition shows Strader-Brown¿s interest in the everyday visuals most are exposed to in urbanized environments and his choice to re-appropriate these object¿s formal qualities to create new abstract forms. The sculptures purpose is to place new spatial and formal values on ubiquitous items¿ designs through exaggerated manipulation.

I was fortunate enough to study art in high school and at the Monroe Street Arts Center as a kid. Although I do not study art at the college level, I continue to paint and draw as often as I can. My work generally focuses on natural themes that celebrate my childhood in the beautiful outdoors that is Wisconsin."
