About the Performing Arts Committee
The Performing Arts Committee plans and promotes events for the historical Union Theater stage, ranging from modern dance to classical concerts to travel adventure films to Broadway musicals. The Performing Arts Committee programs a variety of events to provide a diverse and cultural experience for students, faculty, alumni, and the Madison area community.
On the committee are four student Associate Directors, who work directly with the Performing Arts Committee Director and advisor. Each student Associate Director coordinates the events of one of each of the following areas: Concert Series, Jazz Series, World Stage Series, or Theater and Dance. Together, this group works to select a season of events that offers artistic integrity, diversity, and campus outreach and involvement between the performers and students.
