Emmie
Emmie is the University of Wisconsin-Madison's student produced music magazine. It is free and available in UW campus buildings, coffee shops, stores, and music venues in the downtown area. Emmie is not only about making a great magazine for our audience—it also provides a rich learning experience for the staff. In addition to our magazine, we host a weekly radio show on WSUM, 91.7fm Madison from 4-5pm on Sunday nights where we play and talk about the music we feature in the magazine and the Madison music scene. Become a Part of Emmie!
We welcome new student staff members at any point in the year. Please email the editor or come to a weekly meeting. You can get free CDs, concert tickets, have the opportunity to interview your favorite artists and get to know and work with fellow music-loving UW students. It is also possible to contribute if writing isn't your cup of tea. We have layout, advertising, promotion, distribution, and web work that always needs to be done.
