Working Title
Experimental poetry to screenplays to short stories to novel excerpts to narrative poems to . . . let’s just say, if it’s textual and features a story, we’ll workshop it.
Working Title (WT) meetings are every Monday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Memorial Union – TITU. Everyone is welcome!
Working Title also features several mini-activities that take place throughout the week:
1. Inspiration Trips – typically occur Saturday afternoons. In which WT explores various places of the greater Madison area or meet up for a quiet get-together. Previous trips include Harry Potter movie marathons, jumping into Lake Mendota, laser tag, and photography jogging.
2. Peer-Paired Critics (PPC) – partners you with another member. You each encourage the other to write and review each other’s stories. Perfect for long-forms such as novels or full-length screenplays.
3. Blog – a place for articles about writing for writers by writers. Write a post for book recommendations. Pair up with someone and ach write one side of an argument pertaining to writing. Express your dying hatred for the word “said.” Or simply explain various writing techniques such as voice and setting. The topic is entirely up to you! Follow our blog here.
